New Year's Poem

I composed the following poem the other day (New Year's Eve) while sitting in my office. It is inspired by Hebrews 13:8 which says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!"

Another year is ending.
The next will soon begin.
Yet, through all of life's great trials,
I have a special Friend.
My friend, His name is Jesus--
The Life, the Truth, The Way.
He guides, He leads, He comforts me
On each and every day.
If you're searching for real hope or peace
In these times which can be strange,
Then please open your heart to Jesus,
For, my Friend, He doesn't change.
